Illinois Urban Manual
The Kendall County SWCD participates in the Illinois Urban Manual (IUM) Update Initiative. The Illinois Urban Manual is a technical reference document
that contains a variety of soil erosion and sediment control, post-construction and green infrastructure best management practices. These practices are useful to address storm water on sites during and after construction. Newly updated standards are added regularly.

IUM Field Manual
The IUM Field Manual for inspection of Erosion & Sediment Control Best Management Practices is finally complete! It is a great resource and is intended for use as a technical reference by developers, contractors, planners, engineers, consultants, government officials and others involved in inspection of soil erosion and sediment control best management practices on construction sites in Illinois. Hard copies are now available at our office as well as at SWCD offices across Illinois. Additionally, the Field Manual is available electronically.
