COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE:
Assistance provided to local developers, elected officials, municipal & county government, state/federal natural resource agencies, local organizations/community groups, watershed groups, and residents on a variety of agricultural and natural resource topics.
Workshops/Seminars: Offerings include Pond Seminar, Pond Shocking Demonstration, Erosion & Sediment Control Workshops, Water Conservation and Soil Conservation.
Kendall County Fair: Held the first weekend in August each year.
Conservation Sales: Fish, Trees, and Field Flags – Fish & tree sales are held every Spring & Fall. Field flags can be purchased in the SWCD office anytime during open hours.
Used Oil Collection: An annual event held every June.
Maps: Soil, Floodplain, Topographic, Wetland (National Wetland Inventory) & Historic aerials.
Information Brochures & Materials: Local watershed plans, Program information, Pond related information, Soil information, Seed material, Rain gardens, Backyard conservation, etc.
